I know there are at least 3 people on my flist who have children still in diapers... and at least one of you will be having another one to buy diapers for soon!
If you use cloth diapers, I found some FANTASTIC ones. They're really great, quality diapers and from what I've seen, really affordable. She'll also try to find a pattern for you if you specify what you want (try... she may not be able to find exactly what you want). Check them out:
Sew Nappy Cloth Diapers
Seriously, her work is stellar. The quality is so good even I'm going to use cloth, and that's saying something. Even buying the cheapest disposable diapers out there, using the Sew Nappy diapers is going to save me a bunch of money.

Date: 2006-01-23 04:27 am (UTC)I've never used cloth because I found that it's actually cheaper for me to use disposables than to go through a diaper service. But I'd love to not add any more of them to the landfills so I might look into it again. How do you manage to save money?

Date: 2006-01-23 01:14 pm (UTC)I was buying the cheapest disposable diapers... the Parent's Choice brand from WalMart. One pack was about $6 and would last almost a full week.
However, starting with these, all I have to do is take it off and wipe him like I would with a disposable. I don't need to rinse or soak in a bucket of water. I can just throw the diaper into a bucket with a lid (as any good diaper pail should have) and then every other day I throw the diapers in the bucket in the washing machine and viola! Clean diapers. No need for a diaper service at all, as those are incredibly expensive and use abbrassive chemicals in the cleaning process.
