Jan. 31st, 2004 03:30 pmEverybody remember that thing going around awhile back with the 5 questions? This is kind of like that.
meamcat was asked some questions, and I responded that I wanted to be interviewed, so she asked me five. Here are my answers. Anybody wants to be harrassed, I mean, interviewed, please comment.
1. Have you ever played an instrument? How far did you get with it?
I played the recorder in 5th grade, but only because everybody had to. I was crap at it. I have no musical talent whatsoever. Not for lack of trying though. I was in choir and worked very hard until I was about 12. I love music, I just have no talent for it. :)
2. What is the coolest thing about your favourite TV show?
The witty dialogue, or complete lack of dialogue. Or maybe it's just the way the choosen actors delivered the dialogue (or facial expressions for the lack of dialogue in Hush), because that show would not have worked with any other actors. I'm talking about Buffy.
3. Have you ever written an original work? What was it like? When you read it now, what do you think of it?
Yes I have. I believe a total of 6 people have a copy of it. I started it when I was almost 16 and finished it just after my 18th birthday. It was hard... the second hardest thing I've ever done (the first being my daughter) and at the same time it was exceptionally fulfilling. It's total crap, but I think it might not be so bad if I did A LOT of work on it. Not going to though... I'm working on and original piece that is completely different from that first one right now.
4. What is your favourite website? Why?
Um... I guess it would be... probably livejournal, if only because I've met so many friends, made life long relationships, and it's the best way to keep up with these people since only two live remotely close to me (and even they are about an hours drive away).
5. What is a talent of yours that nobody you know can do?
I honestly don't think I have one. I have talents, yes, but none that one of my friends or family can't also do. I'm kind of unoriginal like that.
On another note,
misspince made my day. She's a sweetheart. Everybody go give her lots of love and attention.
I'm somewhat upset. Common Rotation is playing in DC tomorrow, the 1st, while I'm still here in Houston. They'll be in New York while I'm in DC after my Iceland trip. They're playing in NYC on Feb. 11th. I'll be back in the US by then, even on that side of the country, but not close enough. I'm so upset! I'll be closer to them than I ever have been before, but I'm still not going to be close enough to go see the show! Sometimes it really really sucks being stuck in the southern middle of a huge country. They'll probably never make it down to the Houston area. You know, if I had my car, I'd be tempted to drive from DC to New York just to see them, but it's something near a 4 hour drive, they are playing at 11pm, and my car will be here anyway, far far away from DC.
I'm still excited though. This time next week and I'll be in Iceland. I leave Thursday. This Thursday. I get there Friday morning. This Friday. SQUEE!

Date: 2004-02-01 04:15 pm (UTC)1. If you could pick anywhere in the world to live, where would it be?
2. If you had to choose between either writing one bestseller but never writing again, making only one top movie but never working in the field again, or never accomplising either, which would you choose?
3. Describe your dream woman, looks (everything), personality, job, interests, stuff like that. I want details, as exact as you can get them.
4. Do you think you would still want to make movies if you'd never hurt your knees and could still play football?
5. What were you like in high school?
There. If you want to make up for last time, I'll ask you 5 more questions. I've got dozens of them floating around my head.
