So I fully intended to update last night with information on the successful hostage transfer. Alex and I stayed at angua9's place so late that when we got home, Alex had a bit of a snack (she wouldn't eat dinner before) and went straight to bed. I was so tired and feeling rather sick so I went to bed too.

A brief update on my turn as hostage guard. Sunday the hostage was aquired from the airport. Dinner was had and we stayed up talking until somewhere around 1am. Monday noonish, after a breakfast of tasty blueberry muffins and a stop at the incompetant post office, we completed the hostage transfer. perceval is happily spending quality time with angua9. We went to a bookstore this morning, and this afternoon they are doing various things while Alex and I rest at home. Tomorrow we'll be treking down to Galveston. And sadly, the day after, perceval will board a plane and go back to Scotland. We'll miss her, but I'm sure her husband will be happy to have her back.

It's cold (finally) and I'm hoping it will stay this time. I get very tired of the hot/cold/hot/hot days we've been having. Drives my body chemistry nuts.

I was thinking a trip next fall maybe? Or late summer. I'd love to visit, but Alex doesn't handle the drive well (nor long drives at all really, not so much anymore, we're testing her tomorrow to see how she does). I'm going to Iceland in February and DC in May.

Maybe Alex and I, at least, could fly up end of August/early September? I think she'd fly better than drive, and from what I've heard, it might actually be cheaper in the long run. :)

I think it's cheaper and safer. I think it would be great to have you visit in August or September. Do you think we can get angua9 to come?

I might be able to drag her along... I can try at least. We might have to aim for August though because of the kids and school.
