queenrileyNo real purpose to this post, other than to point out my new icon. See, isn't he cute? Ah, Xander... my what a nummy treat he is indeed. If anybody knows where I got the line Nummy Treat, then you certainly now know my previously kept secret obsession. Yes, I'm a big Xander-is-gay fan. I'm one of the biggest readers of Xander/Spike, Xander/Giles, and Xander/Oz fic out there. He must be gay. I'm entirely too attracted to him as a character for him to not be gay. He sets my gay-dar off more than just about every other gay character on television.
Xander/Anya? Hated it, found it painfully unbelievable. Xander/Willow? Didn't want to buy it... didn't really like it. I adore their frienship though. Xander/Buffy? Ew, squick. Xander/Dawn? Even squickier. Can we saw gross incestuous-like? I thought so. But Xander/Spike? Meow. Xander/Giles? Cute boy and hot Brit? Bring it on! Xander/Oz? So totally adorable. That's just me, mind. I know plenty of people who are firm in the belief that Xander is not now nor could he ever be gay. That's fine. They can have their opinions, I'll have mine.
Still, I love Xander. He is, and always has been, my favourite character from Buffy. Sadly, I stopped watching much after fourth season. I caught a few season 5 eps and two or three from season 6, but nothing after that. I'm getting cable back just so I can catch everything I missed, including the highly under-publicized final episode (which I desperately wanted to watch, but never found out when it was on), on FX. Lovely channel that... showing all 7 seasons.

Date: 2003-10-30 04:05 pm (UTC)I am one of those utterly strange people who ship Spike/Buffy. This in spite of my tremendous dislike for her. Sigh. I guess I just have a thing for not-very-nice people wanting something they can't have.
Xander is interesting, though. Yes. Oh my yes.
