So, it's been done. My hair is red. Very dark deep red. And I adore it. For the first time I think I actually might be kinda cute... sort of. Either way, it looks good.

Life is becoming unbearably stressful. But somehow I'll have to manage and get through it. Somehow someway. It's just hard and getting much more difficult with every passing day. It WILL get better, eventually. We've already hit rock bottom, we've passed that and gone even further into the "there is nothing that can make this situation worse". But there is always something that can make it worse, and that something always seems to happen to us.

What I really need is some good clean flirting fun to make me smile and laugh, and a nice good clean distraction to take my mind off things. But he's busy, so I think I'll just go read OotP again.

Have recieved my wonderful British edition from the equally wonderful GEEKmooters. Am doing a nice, slow reread. Will comment on the book after I'm done with said nice, slow reread.

I admire your courage. I don't think I'd ever have the guts to dye my hair.

Well, I'd invite you out to lunch, but I haven't the money to pay for lunch. No money for a movie either.

Erm... you could come over for lunch, though the apartment is cramped and a little messy. I'm a fairly decent cook.

Or we could just meet up somewhere and do girly things... whatever that might be. :) I'm getting slightly better about driving downtown. Still makes me excessively nervous, but I can handle it so much better now.

And I only had the guts because I'd been toying with the idea and my best friend bought the dye, ambushed me, and did it before I could say "Well maybe I shouldn't." She's smart like that.

I really shouldn't spare the time before I leave for Nimbus ("eek! only 8 more days") but I'd LOVE to get together after I get back (July 25). I can give you the Nimbus report, and we can hash out The Book at our leisure.

Oh that would be great!! Just drop me an email or ring me up (if you still have my phone number) when you get back. You can see my red hair, give me full report on the happenings at Nimbus (and how you trounced the H/H's and made them see reason, because I know you will), and we can discuss OotP. It'll be a blast. :)

I'm so glad you did it! Maybe you could post a picture? It took me a couple of weeks to feel totally comfortable as a red-head, but after that, I never went back! I just bought a "summer shade" for my hair that I'll probably do tomorrow...it's "Coleur Experte" by Loreal, and it's the "Ginger Twist" color. I'm a little nervous about doing it, because I'm going to have my husband help me! Gah!

Oh dear, good luck! I have a best friend who dyes her hair about once a month or so and she did my hair for me. Good thing too as I know I would have missed a spot. ;)

Ah, red hair. The hair colour of the gods :p No, I can imagine that you look very pretty. If I remember correctly, you have fair skin and fair skin and red hair go well together.

Yes, I do have fair skin. A bit red in the face, due to adult acne and other things, but very fair skin overall. And freckles. The red in my hair actually pales out my face some, which is very nice. :)
