queenrileyWon't be online much. Just updating to let everybody know that we made it here yesterday. Took us longer than expected, but so are the ways of traveling with a toddler. She did exceptionally well on the drive up, however, and I'm very very proud of my little girl.
Nanny is not doing well, however the doctor said she could go tomorrow or she could manage to hang on for three more weeks. I'm going to see her this afternoon. I might update afterwards but then I probably won't. Too much to do.
As hard as this is, to be here and see her like this, I'm glad to be home. Nothing calms my mind, comforts my soul, or makes me feel quite as at peace as being home. This is my home. Texas never has been and never will be. Maybe one day I'll move back here, but unlikely.
