So perhaps you will laugh at me for this, I don't care. 6 years ago I was barely 16 years old. I was in high school. I was angsty, as all 16 year old high school female regects are. I thrived on angst. I craved drama. So what was one of my favourite shows? Dawson's Creek. I watched it for two years religiously, and then sporadically third season... rarely after that if at all. But tonight I made an exception. It was the final episode... the very very last episode ever. I told myself "I was there for the first episode and I'll be damned if I miss the last one." even though I hadn't watched it in years. And I'm not uber-angsty anymore (not all the time anyway). And I don't crave drama half as much as I used to. But I watched it. And laugh all you want but I ENJOYED it. I spent most of it crying, however. Never has a telly show made me cry like this one did. Just when I thought I was done crying and had wiped away the tears, something else happened and I cried some more. Now I have a headache. And at the end, as I watched in horror as I thought Joey picked the wrong guy, I realized just how into it I got. Then, at the very very end, I rejoiced as as they showed that, yes, Joey actually did pick the right guy. For once. Not since my mid-teenage years have I cared so much whether a television character picked "the right guy". But I'm glad she did.

So go ahead and laugh. I'm glad I watched it. :P

I loved the Creek too. (Pacey and Joey and Jen and Jack and Grams were all great characters, although I always hated Dawson himself with the fire of a thousand suns.) And while we've not got the finale here yet, I am SO glad that the right people ended up together. Yay!!

Well see... the right people for me, I discovered, were not the right people for everybody. But I won't spoil it for you and say who ended up with who. Unless you want me to, of course, and then I can give you a play-by-play of the episode (from what I remember anyway).

Pacey was always my favourite. Joey, the first season, got on my nerves, but she got better after awhile. Jen... I adored Jen. I always adored Jen... from the minute she stepped out of that taxi I loved her. And Jack... who doesn't love our dear Jack? As for Grams, how could you not like that woman? Dawson was too whingy about not-angsty-enough-things for my tastes... I never really liked him either. ;)

Heh, I already know who the final pairings are, and all I have to say is that you are SO right. Well, for the main one, at least - the, er, slashy one... well I'm trying not to think of it as a bit of a cop-out (hehehehe, unintentional pun), actually, but at least it's actual canonical slash! And if my favourite pairing (the aforementioned main one) hadn't happened, then I would've been sad.

I loved Jen too. :) She rocked, it was just a pity the writers seemed bent on eviscerating her. And Jack was just great, yo, as was Grams. And Joey was mostly good, even if she did whinge occasionally and had the whole not-slapping-Dawson thing going on.

As for Dawson himself, all I can say is that his head LOOKS LIKE A CEREAL BOX, he is the biggest egomaniac in the freaking world, and he needs to Shut The Hell Up.

Hehe, why yes, I am bitter. :)
