Dec. 5th, 2003 02:42 pmLast night was the most fun. I had a blast. I was at Susan's until about 12:30... and I was the first to leave, so I don't know how long Kirk stayed. I made it home by 1 where I checked on Alex and crashed into bed. I was up at 6:30 (Alex let me sleep in a little!) and thanks to the very low blood level in my caffeine stream, I've been just fine.
The movie was great. The company was great. And I'm sorry I didn't step up to help finish the rum, but I am a WIMP and a big WUSS and I prefer my drinks to taste like candy or ice cream. Besides, I had a long drive home. :P
I also managed to make it there and back without getting lost once. Susan has a lovely house with two very nice, very fat cats (one of whom she claims is peoplephobic and shy, but the cat liked me all the same). Her dog is the sweetest dog I think I have ever met. And her husband and kids are nice too (but I already knew that, seeing as I've met them before).
It was great to see Kirk again and it will be sad when he moves to Florida for his internship. It'll just be Susan and I left in the whole of the Houston area. We'll manage though, I'm sure. We have until February and there is still our group viewing of the Return of the King to work out.
connielane is great! She's very funny and provided some hilarious snarky comments to the movie. She's sweet and I'm glad I got to meet her, even if I was late (I can't help it! I live far out... thanks all of you for waiting on me though).
I must go buy Pirates for myself now, however. It was too good... just beyond too good. And because she asked, though I don't see why she'd even have to, of course I'm not a Turnerite! His character was just too stupid for my taste (no offense to anybody who is a Turnerite). And how could he ever compare to the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow? Although... is it wrong to like the monkey almost as much as Sparrow? Because the monkey rocked. I can really dig that monkey...
On a completely unrelated note: My old hometown got a bunch of snow last night. They get snow and I get 60 or 70 someodd degree weather. Stupid Houston. Sometimes I really really hate living here, and winter is the main one. Or should I say complete and utter LACK of winter?
Also, am working on making icons and a desktop background with these pictures though I'm sure somebody has already done so. I'm going to do it anyway. Cause... damn. I mean... just damn. *wipes up drool* sorry 'bout that... but click the link, can you blame me?
