Jan. 9th, 2003 08:55 amI apologize for yesterday's post. It was made entirely out of self pity, which is something I hate and know I need to work on not having. It was a bad day and I've never adjusted well to change, so going from a three bedroom two story house to a one bedroom apartment has been a bit of a shock to my system. I realize you probably didn't mind the post, but I'm still apologizing for it anyway. I do appreciate all the wonderful things you lot said about me, though I don't think I'm half as wonderful as you seem to think I am. :)
Morning always brings a new perspective to things, and though I didn't have to be, I was up at dawn today. Steam rose from the sewers in the street. The world around me was mostly quiet, with only a few people leaving for work on their bicycles or in cars, some walking. Mostly the world was asleep. It was cold, about the only time of day it really is cold around here, and the air felt good. I stood in the parking lot and watched the sun rise over the bushes that obscure the fence and the train tracks. It was nice. After a bit I came back in and lay down for another half hour or so until Alex got me up. She's sleeping in later these days.
Last night, I had a strange ( dream )
Yeah... I said it was strange. :) But I feel much better this morning. Also, the title of yesterday's post was a play on the first full length original novel I ever wrote. It never has been and probably never will be published, but I have my copy along with a few of my friends (some of them former friends now).
Alex has decided to become a nudist this morning and is running around entirely naked, so I need to go wrestle her back into her clothes, or at least her diaper.
I just wanted to say thanks for putting up with me. :)
