What do you do when you have something you NEED to talk about with someone, yet you can't talk to your friends or family about it?

What do you do when all the information you need to make an educated decision is grossly skewed in whichever direction suites the person giving said information, either for or against, when you can't get true solid facts?

What do you do?

That sounds like a rather big dilemma. Well,I would try as hard as I could to get objective information. I would go down and hunt the primary source. But that might be the historian in me talking. Then there might be a possibility if you accept information from both sides, you might come to your own independent conclusion based on the fact that you learned about both sides. The problem would of course be that most things have more than two sides to them.

For your first question, I tend to find a sympathetic internet friend. If that's out, for whatever reason, then writing everything I want to say down somewhere can also help.

For your second question, I'd try to talk to someone from both sides, and/or then talk to someone who isn't on a side at all (if that's possible). Then, I'd think very hard about what might be skewing my decision one way or the other.

*hugs*

Well, when you can't get a good opinion from anyone else, check with me, I love you and I will never lie to you. Also, due to my relationship with you, I am not afraid to tell you the truth when it may even hurt your feelings. I know that sounds bad, but hey, thats what love is all about, honesty and love.

I love you,

Um, dear, I love you but did you read the first part? It clearly states that I CAN'T talk to family and friends, and you, my love, are about as family as it gets. :)

It's okay though. I've found a good ear to help me work through it. He's a dear and is helping. :)

Hrm all over again

But I can't come to you on this... not yet. I will once I get all the information and make an informed decision and try not to let my personal feelings about said matter get in the way. Then I'll come to you and let you know what's going on.
