Hey, lookie! The AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) has finally updated their recommendations! They finally got on board the extended rear-facing bandwagon and are recommending you keep your kids rear-facing in the car until the age of 2. Good for them. Now if we could get those pesky outdated state laws changed...

Keep Your Toddler in a Rear-facing Carseat Until Age 2 (Not 1)

Also, on a totally different subject entirely... is anybody else watching Law & Order UK? I've gotten my greedy little hands on the first six episodes and I have to say, I'm impressed! I thought it was just my bias showing through (both Freema Agyeman of Doctor Who fame and Jamie Bamber of Battlestar Galactica fame are main characters) but I've gotten a non-Whovian and non-BSG fan hooked on it too. It's just that good a show. :D

Where did you get this? I'm so curious about the differences in the law. I about fainted when some British friend told me that they don't have to have a magistrate or judge sign a search warrant in order to execute the search warrant.

I download mine using isohunt.com and utorrent. I've not found them on any of the online tv viewing sites, though I'm sure they're lurking around somewhere I'm not familiar enough with to check.

It's really a neat show!

I am - I started watching because of The Bamb (mmmmhmmm) mostly, then kept watching because it's kind of cool. Though I must say that they use an awful lot of UK lingo and accents - I keep thinking that if they want to release it in the US, they'll have to subtitle it :D I continually need to watch convo-heavy scenes twice just to get what they're saying.

Also, I want to kidnap whoever dresses Freema for the show, and her entire wardrobe.

I'm not sure it would sell here even with subtitles. I've not had much of a problem understanding, but I will admit to having to look up or use context clues for slang I don't quite recognize.

I'm just totally in love with Freema's character. She's awesome! And much as I loved him in the flight suit, I have to admit, seeing Jamie run around in his little suit just makes me go all squishy inside. ;)

Hey, I'll take Jamie Bamber whichever way I can have him, thanks - uniform, suit, whatever ;) (Have you seen the pic he did for PETA? ROWR.)

I LOVE that picture! Not the biggest PETA fan, but that picture? WOW. I also like to go watch the towel scene from BSG. ;)

Oh yeah, the scene with the diminishing towel of tininess.
