Hehe... sorry... life is good at getting in the way of computer time.

I have a friend coming into town in April. I work all kinds of crazy hours now because... I've been promoted to manager! I'm proud of myself, even if I get a lot of "but it's just fast food". Well so what? I worked hard at my job, and to me, it's not "just fast food".

Anyway, I partook from both shellebelle and bucketgirl, so here is my part in infecting the lj population. I'll reply when I can, but it may take awhile... sorry. We'll just call this a slow-affecting disease, yes?

1) I remember you from SQ and I believe it was shortly after a friend of yours was having a hard time with something very personal. Plus you're bubbly and fun and always manage to make me smile!

You know my sister-in-law's sister is a regional manager for Arby's and she makes a very nice living. I think being in food service management is a good profession. Maybe you might discover that you want to keep going up the ladder. Congratulations!!

Oh, I didn't get the ringtone. I don't know why it seems like I have problems receiving text messages. I get e-mails, but I don't even know how it's done. I'm on cingular, if that makes any difference.

1) It was, initially, in attempts to plan to first Houston SQ meetup I remember, years and years ago. Alex was still a baby. I never did find the lot of you.
2) big band music, my father loves it. It's mostly because of your son, I think, that makes me associate this stuff with you.
3) I always think you are younger than you actually are
4) Neither of us had a picture to upload, so we messaged each other with descriptions of what we looked like... which we apparently didn't do a good job of.
5) dogs, little tiny dogs

Should you ever be in a position to chance upon my dining establishment, you'd be getting much more than a discount. I'd have to pounce you and then berate you for not letting me know you were coming. :P After all, crossing an ocean is quite a ways to travel just to visit a little Arby's in a small town.

4)I don't have a first memory, but it always meant so much to me when you and Elin called when my grandmother died... I just... still get teary when I think about it.

1)I don't remember why, but I do remember in the early days your struggle to become a mother and how I wanted so badly to fix everything for you.
