queenrileyTo whomever sent the cold front to Texas: THANK YOU! It feels like fall outside and I'm loving it! Of course, it was rather cold in the house this morning as it was not cold enough to warrent turning the heat on (and the heater doesn't work anyway) but it was cold enough to be chilly, until I remembered the large pile of sweatshirts that hardly ever get worn... so I ran and put one on and enjoyed the temperature.
Alex is feeling better today. She was sick with me, but now she's doing quite a bit better. She's still got a runny nose, but at least she's not coughing, sneezing, or whiny anymore. She only gets mad when I have to wipe her nose. So this is a good thing.
In my lethargy today, I discovered something. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is in syndication and comes on twice. I haven't watched Buffy in quite some time. I used to be an avid fan of the show, but once they went to college... well... it started to go downhill. I couldn't stomach last season at all, nor the one before it really. The last episode I really sat and watched without having to force myself to not change the channel was the musical episode (still watch that one, it's a trip). I haven't watched a single episode this season. But it was nice to turn on telly and find first, second, and third season episodes airing. Those were the best, and it really took me down memory lane. Well, that actually got me motivated and I found my Buffy fanfic from years ago. I wrote it all when I was in high school, so it's been at least four or five years since I wrote a darn thing for Buffy. But I went and found it all, cleaned it up a bit, and am actually semi-proud of what I wrote. Does anybody know of a place I could post the fanfic? Some of it isn't too long, so I suppose I could make a journal entry out of it, though I've never been known for getting to the point quickly. I've always been a bit long winded. We'll just have to see how much room it will take up. Actually, would anybody really be interested in reading it? I suppose I ought to find that out before I go posting some of it up here in my journal. :) (just for anyone who is curious, I'm a rabid Xander fan and every bit as much a rabid Giles fan... so they are my main characters in almost everything)
I've not stereo in my room, so I've nothing to listen to but the baby monitor and the hum of the computer... and the cats on my bed. I'm also feeling a bit loopy because of my cold medicine. Whee... Loopy!Queenriley can be fun.
