House last night. Spoilers.

On to the ouch in a sec... first... Cuddy! Wants a baby! And was going to ask Wilson! How cute is that? Though I think she should have House's baby, cause... yeah.

On with the ouch...

Did they have to kill the baby?!?!?! For goodness sake. I almost didn't watch it afraid they'd do something like that (and I didn't handle the first dead baby episode well either) but then I thought "No, they almost killed Foreman last week and they've already done a dead baby episode, so they'll find the cause and cure just in time to save the poor wee thing. I'll watch and be happy and warm fuzzied inside." Except not.

I find it rather implausible that not a single doctor, nurse, or even a long-term NICU nurse was smart enough to suggest celiac for the baby (very easily overlooked in the mother however, I buy that one no problem). For goodness sake, even I was suspecting it in the baby halfway through once everything else came up negative, and I don't know that much about celiac. The colic alone should have been a big huge warning sign to the NICU staff, if not to the baby's actual primary care physician.

The very end had Jeff screaming at the tv that she was being stupid until I said "Her baby is dead, Jeff. Of course she doesn't want to live." I would have refused treatment at that point too. Though the father's line broke my heart... "When you see Michael, tell him Daddy's coming." Ouch.

But geez... did they really have to go there with the dead baby episode? I hate when they do dead baby episodes.

I must have misunderstood (given the extreme ammount of drama not but a few feet away at the time), but I thought the father said "When you see Michael, tell him Daddy's sorry." Once again...extreme drama in the kitchen from Blondie the wonder bitca, and the step-fatherly one.

I had a REALLY hard time watching last night myself. I thought about celiac, but then silly me I thought that surely with the "colic" that the primary care physician would have figured that one out. Then again given their current monitary situation it could have been that they didn't tend to the baby's medical non-emergency seeming condition.

::shrug::

Oh and BTW, I'm so glad Foreman survived but did they really have to make him all "shiney happy people holding hands"? Even if it was to progress part of the ongoing plot?

Actually, sorry would make more sense (and be even more heartbreaking). I wasn't exactly in prime listening condition as I was still whimpering "They killed the baby." and Jeff was screaming "Woman are you nuts?!?!?! Get the freakin treatment!!!" at the tv... so I could have been mistaken.

Yes their monitary situation was tight, but I'm assuming they had some sort of insurance on the baby, otherwise House would have gone off on the lack of immunizations and used some of that as a possibility, so I too assumed that hey, he'd seen a doctor at some point for at least the immunizations and the colic would have been brought up then and the doctor would have asked some questions and thought possibly celiac seeing as THE BABY HAD ALL THE SYMPTOMS OF IT. Stupid writers.
