queenrileyTomorrow my son will be 3 months old. 3 months. Where did the time go? Wasn't he born just yesterday as a massive hurricane was barreling down on us? Aren't I still in Texas? It seems surreal... I haven't adjusted yet to living here... I still sometimes think and feel as if I'm just visiting. And my son. He's so big! 3 months old! He giggles, he laughs, he "talks", he smiles, he sort of rolls over. He does baby push-ups. He reaches for everything he can see and he can see so much more now.
He's finally wearing 0-3 month clothing too. :P Been in that for about a month now. 3-6 month is still WAY too long, but fits around the middle, so he deals with either a semi-tight tummy outfit or a very long in the legs outfit, depending on if he gets 0-3 months or 3-6 months. He's my tiny short little chubby butt... and he is chubby. I wish I had recent pics. Soon, I hope, if the camera will stop crashing the computer.
I miss Jeff so much I sometimes get an actual stomachache. Never thought I could miss anybody that much... it sucks. But I'm very glad to be here, regardless. It's... odd. And confusing.
Alex starts school soon. She's getting too big too fast. She can't read yet, not really, but she writes EVERYTHING. She carries around notebooks and pens and asks "Mommy, how do you spell [insert word here]?" or "Grandpa, how do you spell?" or "Grandma, how do you spell?" And as we spell it, she writes it.
It's going so fast. Way too fast. I want to stop time, slow it all down, keep my babies babies forever. Keep them small. I want my family back together, whole again... we're just missing the one person, and he'll be with us soon (to me, a lifetime to Alex), but still...
I'm going to go watch some old season 1 Stargate: Atlantis before I get myself too depressed.
