Jan. 20th, 2004 12:59 pmSo I finished my fanvideo this morning. It's not the greatest, in fact, it's not even really that good. But I made it by myself without getting any help from anybody at all. I figured it all out on my own, so I'm at least proud of that fact. And it is my first video, so I don't expect it to be MTV quality or anything. All in all it took me about a week and a half working a good 6 hours a day. I captured all the clips myself, though a few of them have weird flashes that were there in my copies of the episodes themselves and I couldn't seem to get the video editor to cut those flashes out. Not too big a deal.
Anyway, if any of you would like to see it, or critique it (you can even tell me it sucks, that's fine, I won't mind), comment with your email address. I'll warn you now, it's kind of big... I'm working on shrinking it down some. I don't have anywhere on the web to host it yet, though I'll look into finding a place tomorrow. My only request for those who do decide to review it: either be a fan of Buffy, or don't tell me you don't understand it. You HAVE to have seen Season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the whole video to make any sense. It's a character study of Andrew, so yeah. You don't have to be a fan of him, just a fan of the show, or at least know what happened in the show and who is who. Or actually, I guess you could critique the style and composition of the video without being a fan of the show, but I think it would really help to know about Buffy.
So yeah... that was HARD. Really really hard. But it was fun. I might do another one. :D
And Kirk? Special request? You make movies. You know about making movies. Would you take a look at my video and let me know if I'm way off base or if it completely sucks? Because you know about that stuff. And I don't. But it's fun, and I see why you like it so much.
