Busy busy. Reading lots... devouring at least a book a day, if not two, on top of caring for two 2 year olds, cleaning, and being supportive to friends having a hard time of it right now.

Not much internet time, but I haven't much I need to do online, so I only get on once a day for brief periods. If you want to talk to me, set up a time.

Also, am still waiting to be asked questions by people I asked questions of who have yet to be nice and reciprocate. If you can't think of any or don't want to ask me, just let me know.

Have answered [livejournal.com profile] nayela's questions,
Nayela:
1.If you had to decide whether to live in Australia or England or Iceland- where would you choose to settle down?

I'd probably settle down in England. Ever since I was a very very little girl, I've wanted to live there, and I've never been able to provide a decent answer other than "It just feels right". Iceland would be really nice, seeing as it's very small and not particularly crowded, which is something I absolutely adore... I don't like big, crowded, and busy. However the really long, cold winter, on top of the midnight sun would drive me nuts for the first bunch of years until I finally aclimated to it all. Australia would be neat, but there are too many large insects that could kill me and I don't think I could get used to Hannukah and Christmas being in summer rather than winter. Flipped seasons would be really weird. So I'm going with England. Because it just feels right.

2.Is there anything you would really miss about living in America? If yes, what is it?

This is one I REALLY had to think about. We all know I'm not the biggest fan of the US, but there are some good things about it. It's just thinking of them. And I suppose the main thing would be friends and family. Sure, I'd make friends in England, but my family is here. I can't think of anything right now about the way the US is run or things here that I wouldn't have there. Chocolate is WAY better there. Food is generally better. Beer is most definately better. School... well I'm out of school then aren't I? And it's about the same everywhere these days I think. I dunno... if I come up with something I'll let you know.

3. A "Child of the Eighties"-Question: In your opinion, who rocked more- The Care Bears or Rainbow Brite?

I say Rainbow Brite, but my daughter, though not a child of the 80's, is a child of a child of the 80's, and she's screaming Care Bears right now... but then, she hasn't been exposed to much Rainbow Brite since I can't find videos and the like. I stick with my answer. Rainbow Brite all the way (and screw the raver kids who turned her into one of their mascots... Rainbow Brite is NOT some drugged up, spacey, stupid little raver.)

4.What is your earliest memory from your childhood? (Yes, I know. This question is reeeaally old.)

See, this was difficult, partly because my memory is more than a little touchy, and partly because I can't say for sure which is my earliest, but I have an idea. I remember being a very little girl and watching Star Wars with my dad... and I remember something about wanting to go somewhere with him to see it, but not being allowed to because I was too young... though I'm not sure if that was me wanting to see Jedi in theaters or if he was going to some special showing or something. I also remember taking a nap, something I gave up at the age of 2, at my grandmother's apartment one Sunday and being woken up several times while my grandmother and father yelled at the tv. The Redskins (football team) were playing and my family, being from the DC area, have always (even now that the team is truely awful) been big fans. I remember getting up from my nap, coming out of the spare room, putting my hands on my hips and saying "SSHHH. I'm sleeping!" turning around, and going back to bed. But then, I'm not sure I was that articulate at 2 (nearly 3, as that would have been fall/winter and my birthday is in early spring). It's very confussing what my actual age was. After that I tend to draw a blank on just about about everything until I was 5, where I have a few select memories... then it's a lot of black nothingness until I was about 7, followed by another stretch of black nothingness until I was 9 or 10. Things are fairly clear after that, excluding some large blocks missing from when I was 12, 13, 14, and some from even when I was 15. Most of my memories are not actually my memories, but rather stories that have been told of me as a child that I create a "grey-haze memory" from. The very few things I do actually remember myself from my childhood are very brief little snippets and are more emotion than actual memory... like I remember feeling very at peace (and still do) and sleepy when I smell a combination of Old Spice, office paper, and winter air. That's what my dad always used to smell like when he came to tuck me in, always right after he got home from work when we lived in Maryland... a place I have very few actual memories from, since I was 6 when we moved to Virginia and most of my memory from Maryland is blocked or missing. Heck, for all I know, that's my earliest memory. My goodness but I did babble on and stray from the question. Sorry.

5.Imagine you found youself as the hero(ine) of your favourite book or film and able to relive the story. How would you react and what would you change?

I'd change nothing if it were my favourite book or film. I can't honestly say what book or film it would be, but it most certainly wouldn't be action or anything, so I wouldn't have to worry about kicking butt or anything. I'd try to react as they did in the story, but I'd be pretty shocked at first. I think I'd have a lot of fun with it though. :)

Also, took two quizzes. Got this:
