Make that a Catagory 4 expected to hit just south of Galveston, giving the worst winds, tornados, and rain to hit Houston about 2am Saturday...

Mind, it's already a Catagory 4 and is still sitting in the Gulf, so it could strengthn, we just don't know yet.

Going to the doc today to see if we are pulling him out now and keeping us in the hospital over the hurricane, staying put at home, or evacuating... I'll let you know.

Okay, one last update.

Rita is now a 5.

We are NOT evacuating, however. My doc says next round of contractions I have I am to go to the hospital where he will perform the c-section. We'll stay in the hospital through the hurricane. It's probably about the safest place we could be, other than not in the state of Texas. Seeing as I have contractions every single day, he'll be born either tonight or tomorrow.

We're getting our stuff up off the floor, taking important paperwork and our clothes with us to the hospital. I'm hoping Alex can stay at the hospital with us, as I'd be more comfortable knowing she's safe and okay with us as opposed to boarded up and riding it out at Jeff's parent's house, which is what they're planning right now.

It may be awhile before I can update again. I'll be having the baby soon and after Rita hits, we'll likely be out of power for at least a few days, if not longer. I'll keep you as updated as possible, but don't expect much from us for awhile!

Thanks for the well wishes and those of you who kindly offered to open your homes to us, thank you so much for the offer. It means a lot to know that if I did need to go somewhere to get away, I'd have somewhere to go. Since we'll be in the hospital during the hurricane, we'll be okay. But thank you... you have no idea how much your generosity means to me.
