(no subject)

Well, I ended up getting to go to the movie last night. It was fun. :) I'm glad we found a last minute babysitter and I'm very glad Jamyn sided with me on wanting to see Daredevil instead of Basic, so that's what we saw. And it rocked. It strayed from the comic, yeah, like they all do, but it was still a kick-ass movie. And Ben Affleck wasn't half bad either. Plus Scott Terra, the kid they got to play Matt when he was young, for the accident and his father, that kid was amazing. Truely amazing. I'll expect to see him in some great roles later in his career. And Kevin Smith had a very small role! Rock on Kevin Smith! He's awesome. :)

Bad thing happened though. We got back at 7:30pm after picking up Alex. Somewhere between then and 2:30 when Jeff went out for a cigarette, somebody slashed all 4 tires on my car. There were big knife marks in every single tire and they were all flat. I was very upset. We called the police and an officer came out, looked at it, and drew up a case file, though we all know nothing will come of it. I called my parents this morning and talked to my dad as he's head honcho when it comes to these things. I did as he instructed and called AAA for a tow to the nearest Firestone dealer, got 4 new tires, and am eternally grateful that my parent's paid for it as Jeff and I really cannot afford it right now. But once he gets a job, I'm going to pay back my parents for these tires. I just can't believe somebody would go and slash all the tires on a car... and it wasn't even for revenge! I haven't made anybody mad and neither has Jeff. There was also a car that got the crap keyed out of it's side, and it has no relation to us, so whoever did it just went on a rampage last night. It's very upsetting. I feel violated almost, y'know? It's like, here I am thinking I'm safe and then this happens. It's just not right. I don't understand why anybody would do this.

At least it's all over now and I made some yummy fried chicken for lunch. Life is good again.
