Feb. 12th, 2003 09:20 pmSo I had the urge to update, but don't have an inkling of what I want to say. It's like having writer's block only on your own independant random normal thoughts... hrm... that's probably not a good thing. :P
I went through my friend's page to pick favourite icons, and it took awhile, but I don't particularly want to post them as I have comments for each and I liked more than one from most of you so it would take FOREVER to do it all. I've just updated my bunch of icons. It was a tough choice. I've got bunches on my computer, but can only have 3 icons loaded at once, so I had to choose two to load because I just really like my Sam icon too much to ever take him down. :) I think I picked well, but I have icons from Slayers, El Hazard, showjumping, horses, Dominic Monaghan, baby pictures... it was just a pain in the rear to choose.
Went through a flurry of housecleaning today, but it didn't get much done as I cleaned while Alex was awake, which means she messed behind me. Besides, our apartment is rather cluttered. I did get the kitchen cleaned and the dining room table cleared of junk. Of course, most of the junk ended up in Jeff's corner, but at least now I can eat at the table with Alex. And I can put Alex at the table without worrying about what her curious little hands will grab next. I swear that child has Go-Go-Gadget Arms. There's just no other explination as to how she can reach things that seem out of her grasp. I did get massive laundry done the past two days and Alex did help me sort and put them away, so that was something.
Also have the urge to rewrite my Madam Pomfrey and Madam Pince story... the begining anyway. I haven't made any progress on it in ages since my computer was broken for months. Now that it's fixed, Jeff removed Microsoft Word because my computer is apparently very picky and won't tolerate word processing programs. Well since that's about all I wanted my own computer for, it's a big let down. I'm tempted to just scrap the few chapters I had and start over again, only this time save it on Jeff's computer, seeing as if his computer breaks, he panics and has it fixed within three or four hours. :) Oh well. We'll see. I may never get it written, though I'd really actually like to complete SOMETHING that I started. It'll probably be a crap story, but I'd be proud for finishing it at least. Bah.
Going now to find a way to unlock my brain from this weird block issue I'm having. I'm also having some strange dyslexic issue, only not with reading or writing words, but rather with speaking them. This happens from time to time, but it's gotten more often lately and it's a bit unsettling. Verbal dyslexia almost, if such a thing even exists. I don't misuse words with it (too much, but a little sometimes) but I do mix up the order of words in my sentances and stutter and stumble through it all. It's odd and hard to follow if I end up talking in it. I'll try to keep it under control at lunch tomorrow, if I'm still having issues with it, because I really don't want to scare Angua9 away by mixing up the words in my sentances too much... she's the only Harry Potter friend I have that I can speak with in person. Besides, I really like her, even if she didn't like Harry Potter I'd like her (though her rabid defences of R/Hr are definately a major plus in her favour).
Going now to attempt to be rid of this strange mental block I'm having.
