Jeff is liking his new job. He's working with people he's been working with for the past two tax seasons, so this is good. He knows them, he likes them, and he gets along well with them. He knows better than to try to skip out of work now, because he knows that any day he skips might end up being the last day he works, which might end up with us seperated again. I'm deathly afraid of him being out of a job again, and I think he might be too. I'm almost hoping he is, because that will light the fire under him to keep him working hard from now until he's at retirement age... if he can do that, we'll be set.

We've met with the manager of the apartment complex he is living in now. She's cutting us some slack on certain things because she knows of our situation. She and her two kids live in the apartment right next to where Jeff is now, so they've grown to be friends through talking outside and such. She is holding a three bedroom for us right across the courtyard from her. I know for a fact that it is one of the best apartments in the entire complex. It always has been. This isn't the first time Jeff has lived in that complex, and my best friend lived there through most of high school. It's not the nicest area of town, but it's not crime-ridden or drug ridden, so I'm happy about that. The complex we'll be in has quite a few kids and a massive playground area. The residents are mostly families that just can't afford to live anywhere else, just like us. We will be moving in early December and sharing the apartment with my best friend and (hopefully) her boyfriend (also Jeff's best friend). That helps out big time with bills for all of us. I'm really excited about this. My family will finally be back together again. No more waking up at 5:30 in the morning to drive all the way down to the apartment, getting Jeff, taking him to the bus, and then driving all the way back to barely make it in time to get the girl I babysit to school (I won't have her too much longer).

Another good note on the not having to drive bit... Ryan, a good friend of Jeff's, has recently been hired by the same company Jeff works for on the same shift Jeff has. Our complex is right down the highway from where Ryan lives, so Ryan will be driving Jeff to work as soon as Ryan starts with his training. I'm glad for that too. It saves us a lot of money for bus fare for now (since I need the car for the girl I babysit for). And it saves us gas money for if Jeff had my car all the time. It's a good hours drive into the city... plus that adds mega-miles to my car, which is on lease right now, and will require a large payment at the end of the lease if the miles are too high. So I'm glad Ryan will be working there. We'll help with gas money, but to not have to shell all of it out ourselves is a big help.

I haven't written much in my story *slaps hand* but I have been busy. Hopefully I'll get back on track soon since my fingers keep itching to write. I'd write now, but I really shouldn't even be online as Alex is up and usually counter-productive to me doing anything that involves the computer (especially since she can't play on it much herself yet). But she's absorbed in the Wiggles right now, so I'm set for another 10 minutes or so. ;) My how I do love those 4 Australian men who keep my daughter occupied long enough for me to sit down and rest for a few minutes... quiet and peace of mind is good, even if it is only for 20 minutes (and it doesn't hurt that two of them are rather good looking, in the Steve-from-Blue's Clues sort of way). Do any of you other mom's or aunt's know who I'm talking about? I don't think the Wiggles are all that big over here... but that may just be a product of living in an area of not only the world, but the US itself, that is very very suspicious and unfriendly to "outsiders" (believe me, I've been suspect and discriminated against for the whole of the nearly 10 years I've lived here).
