I realized I've been neglecting my poor journal. I have a moment to sit today, so I figured I'd post and let everybody know what's been going on.

Jeff has moved out. He's living with his best friend, his best friend's ex-girlfriend (they are still good friends), and the uncle of a different ex-girlfriend. It's a strange situation, but oh well. It's hard to deal with. I'm constantly tired because I don't sleep well at night without him there, or knowing that he's just in the other room. Alex looks for him every day. She's sleeping in my room now because my cousin is in from out of town looking for a job. She'll be here for at least a few more weeks. Alex wakes up in the morning and is confussed when she doesn't see Jeff in bed with me, or when he doesn't come get her while I stay in bed. We go see him every day, but once we get back and he doesn't come with us, she's a holy terror. She gets into everything she knows she's not supposed to, she throws tantrums, and she has apparently picked up my habit of throwing things across the room when she's mad. I get so frustrated with her, but I know why she's acting like this. She's not a bad kid. She's just confussed and she misses her Daddy. I miss him too. I was emailed a quote by dear Jenni, and I try to remember it when things get really tough and lonely. "Absence is to love what wind is to fire; it extinguishes the small, it enkindles the great." I try to remember it, and it helps. Right now though, I'm mostly just angry and depressed. I'm either really really mad for no reason at all, so mad that I just want to hit something, or I'm really really depressed. I don't know why I get angry, but the slightest little thing will set me off and I blow up at people who don't really deserve it. I don't like it, but I have to learn to control it.

On a happier note, Jeff has a very good prospect for a job. He did a phone interview for Dell Computers up in Austin and they asked him to send in his resume. An hour after he sent it he got a call from a woman saying she was very interested and please call her back ASAP. He called and left a message because she was away from her desk. This all happened Thursday, so hopefully she'll call on Monday and he can go up for an interview. I don't particularly want to move to Austin, but if he gets the job there, I'll go without a complaint. It's a good job and it will pay really well, especially since he has roughly 2 years experiance in a call center. No word yet from his dad's office, but he did a check-up call on Thursday and got their attention. I hope he hears from them before Dell and gets the job with them, but if not, Austin will be fine by me. He'll be working, making good money, and we'll be together again. That's the important part. We'll be together again.

Now on to some fun stuff. I have quizzes! Three, in fact. I could put up more, but I don't often have time to take them these days. I spend all morning getting as many chores done as possible before Jeff gets up and we go to visit him, then I come back, make dinner, give Alex a bath, put her to bed, and either a)get online for a quick SQ check before I go to bed or b)go visit Jeff so he and I can have some us time. I try to do B, but most often end up doing A as my mother doesn't seem to want to listen for Alex... even though she doesn't have to stay up and listen for her. She can go to bed, because I know Alex won't get up, but oh well. Anyway, quizzes.

As Hermione, you are intelligent, honest, and caring about others. Although you may not particularly stand out, you have a clear sense of morals and can formulate strong opinions on certain moral issues. Although your education may be particular important to you, you are still friendly to others, and your loyalty and commitment endears people towards you.

You are 42% geek
You are a geek liaison, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.

Normal: Tell our geek we need him to work this weekend.

You [to Geek]: We need more than that, Scotty. You'll have to stay until you can squeeze more outta them engines!

Geek [to You]: I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain, but we need more dilithium crystals!

You [to Normal]: He wants to know if he gets overtime.

Wind Whistler is intelligent and articulate, if a little reserved. She has a great thirst for knowledge, and devours books on sight. She seeks to understand the world about her, as she sometimes feels removed from her environment. It is a pity that the other ponies don't appreciate her hard work and accumulated knowledge as much as they should.

Quote: "Keeping the ball in play is a simple matter of potential energy meeting mass and being converted into kinetic energy."

That's all for now. Thanks everybody who sent me kind words and well wishes. I'm handling it okay. I'll keep you posted.
