Nov. 23rd, 2002 07:51 pmDoes anybody even read this anymore? I wonder sometimes. I don't think my own husband even reads this...
Move-in date to new apartment moved back to January 1st. Am moving in just Jeff, Alex, and myself. To a 1 bedroom. The largest 1 bedroom they have, but a 1 bedroom nonetheless. We'll be cramped, but we'll manage. It's the only thing we can afford. We can barely afford to support the three of us, there is no way we can support our two friends as well.
Am taking on another child for my in-home daycare. I will now have my daughter, Alex, at nearly 18 months, M the 5 year old girl, and now a little 3 year old boy. All are good kids, but I expect a loud and often messy house. But it's more money. And we ever so desperately need that extra money.
If I win the lottery, or the $2 million radio contest, or somehow manage to come into an exorbetantly large amount of money, I'm first going to buy a small house for myself, Alex, and Jeff somewhere in Massachussets or Rhode Island (if I have to live in the states) or England or Scotland (if I have enough to move anywhere and support us all no problem) and then I'm going to take a large amount ($100,000 each or more if I can swing it) and knock on Circe and Edward's door and Catherine's door (so she can stop working so hard) and then travel to Iceland and knock on Miss Pince's door and probably Hildi's too and present all of you with a nice big fat check. I'd probably give more to Circe and Edward because I know they need it almost as badly as Jeff and I do, possibly even more as they have 3 kids to try to feed and outfit and save for college for while Jeff and I just have the one. But it's all a moot point unless I come into a large amount of money. It'd be nice though, wouldn't it?
Haven't written more tonight... am off to do so now. Maybe I'll get brave and send it to SugarQuill when I'm done. Maybe people might actually read it. Maybe people might actually WANT to read it. We'll see.
Favorite sentence (as written by you): "I'm all that's left of a family destroyed by hate and greed... so why live at all? Why not just finish the job they started and get it over with?"
Favorite sentence (as written by someone else): "Black is where we start, the dark of night, the dark of mother's womb; it's where everybody begins. But we grow and we learn and we find our light, shed our own, as time passes. That's the yellow." (so it's more than one sentance... it's beautiful and can't be broken up, so I left it all)
Music video you put everything on hold to watch: "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam
Song you HAVE to turn up in the car: too much to list, but mostly 80's tunes as that's most of what I listen to these days
First fandom: Star Trek (mostly TNG though), though I guess Voltron might have been my very very very first fandom. I was 5... it's hard to remember that far back.
"Best" fandom (and why): each fandom has it's good points and bad, so I cannot honestly chose a best fandom when I like them all for different reasons.
Hardest you've laughed in the last 24 hours: when Jeff and Alex were playing on his living room floor
Something that scares you: war of any kind for any reasons scares me, as well as bigotry and prejudice
Something that scares you more: having no control and being persectured for my chosen beliefs (both on fairly equal frightening ground)
SO not your color: pink, pink, pink. I hate it.
Your animal counterpart: I'm honestly not sure... I'm small, quiet, and shy so I could say The Mouse, but that just doesn't feel right. I'd need some help with that I think. (maybe the frog... like the one you kiss to get a handsome prince[cess]? props to you if you know what that's from... Catherine's answers of the Crane and Bear made me think of it)
The animal counterpart you really deserve: The Cat. Noble, proud, intelligent, cunning, and lazy... all traits I wish I had.
Your native tongue: English
City that most belongs on another planet (please explain): Tokyo. It's amazingly diverse and electric, yet traditional at the same time. (Catherine said it best, so I left her answer, but I just wanted to say "I second that motion")
Character you want to meet in a dark alley: I don't want to meet anybody in a dark alley... I don't like dark alleys. I'd rather meet them in broad daylight or an open street or something, thank you very much.
What the hell are you doing in a dark alley?: I'm not in a dark alley! I stay away from dark alleys. Going to dark alleys can get you killed and go unnoticed for months at a time. That's a bad thing.
And finally, what's your poison?: chocolate, ice cream, sodas, brownies... mmm... brownies...
