school/work knackered
Mar. 6th, 2006 08:32 pmI'm totally knackered. 100% completely.
I get up at 5:30am to feed Sam, shower, eat, get dressed for school. I get my stuff together. I get Sam's stuff together. I pour the thawed breastmilk (yay me! Still breastfeeding!) for his bottles. I get him up. Feed him again. Get him dressed. Out the door.
At school. It's a CNA course. It's a very small class with a really cool teacher, but it's hands-on learning and rather labour-intensive.
Gone until 3:30 when I pick up the kids. Home about 4. I feed Sam.
4:30 I change clothes, pull my hair back, get my stuff together. At work by 5.
3 days a week I work at Arby's from 5-9pm, 8pm on slow days (like Mondays and... Mondays). Weekends I work 6 hour shifts both days. Yay. I'm learning register, but mostly I work "back line" which is the food prep. I love it. But it requires me to stand the entire time, run around, bend down, reach up, lift heavy stuff, etc etc etc. Labour-intensive.
Somewhere in there I eat 3 meals a day, drink a lot of water (our teacher lets us have drinks during class, food too if we keep it quiet and don't make a mess), see my kids. I spend a little time with them when I can. I spend time with Jeff when I can. I somehow manage to get some laundry done. Thankfully Jeff has so far been good about doing some cleaning that I've asked him too and looking after the cats.
The ONLY reason I can keep going like this? "It'll be better for us in the end." I say that at least 100 times a day... it's the only thing keeping me from keeling over.
And y'know what?
I'M STILL BREASTFEEDING! Almost entirely. He's had maybe 3 or 4 bottles of formula a week, at most. YAY ME! I'm damn proud of still doing that despite school AND a fast-food job.
